Latha Narayan recently joined the Department of FISCal as the chief of the Project Management Office, within the Information Technology Division.
Latha brings over 24 years of IT leadership experience from private industry and public sector to our department. She has served in several leadership roles for statewide information technology projects and operations at the Department of Technology and the Department of Transportation. She has a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management. In addition, she is also a Certified Project Management Professional and a Certified Organizational Change Management Practitioner.
As the Chief of PMO, Latha will oversee the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of various FI$Cal system releases and projects.
In addition, Gerard Laygui joined the Department of FISCal as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) within the Information Technology Division.
Gerard brings over 20 years of IT leadership experience from both private industry and the public sector. He has served in several information security leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard and has served as the Chief Information Security Officer at the California Prison Industry Authority. Gerard has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM).
As our CISO, Gerard will lead the expansion of security analytics practices, plan and implement security controls to continuously improve the security posture of the Department of FISCal, and manage the operations of security tools and technologies.
