Two Department of FISCal (FI$Cal) staff received awards at the March 19 California Public Sector CIO Academy conference in Sacramento.

The California Public Sector CIO Academy brings together current and emerging senior-level technology leaders and the partners that serve them. The invitation-only event provides a space for leaders to collaborate and address the most important policy, management and leadership issues surrounding the future of digital government.

The following FI$Cal staff received California IT Leadership awards:

Lakhbir Grewal, manages the Software Platform Services Section at FI$Cal. His section is responsible for maintaining the software supporting FI$Cal’s applications. Lakhbir is diligent in planning operations with minimal disruptions to end users. He has managed and maintained the software platforms successfully to achieve high availability and optimum performance. Lakhbir continually mentors his team and is always ready to roll up sleeves to help his and other teams at FI$Cal.

Jithendra Byni, manages FI$Cal’s Enhancements and Break-Fix Section, which oversees day to day operations, s enhancement requests for the FI$Cal system. He managed multiple priorities under tight deadlines by diligently collaborating with his team and other stakeholders. Jithendra delivered multiple enhancements successfully by collaborating with other department teams, FI$Cal’s business partners and external consultants. He leads by example and continually mentors and guides his team members to success.
