This Network Administrator position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to support and enhance the enterprise network infrastructure behind the FI$Cal system, which serves thousands of users. In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the department’s network environment while working on a variety of complex infrastructure initiatives.
You’ll design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco and Meraki networking equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, VPN and remote access solutions, wireless infrastructure, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You’ll also lead infrastructure projects, evaluate emerging technologies, support system modernization efforts, and provide technical guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
This position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on technical work, analytical problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration. You’ll contribute to secure, high-performing technology solutions while developing technical documentation, supporting operational excellence, and helping shape the future of one of the largest and most critical statewide IT systems.
