ACCOUNTING ANALYST

The Accounting Analyst works as part of a multidisciplinary production support team, providing level two support and information to end users who transact in the FI$Cal system while researching and resolving system incidents. The Accounting Analyst plays a supporting role in the overall success of the FI$Cal system by providing customer support, researching, and resolving less complex system incidents and works under the immediate supervision of an Accounting Analyst II on the accounting areas and modules of the system including: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, lease administration, project costing, grants, and customer contracts.

The Management Services Technician provides training support to all Department of FISCal (FI$Cal) staff. Typical assignments include clerical duties in support of FI$Cal training activities, including but not limited to, data entry and management of training files, providing support for various department trainings, scheduling training, generating reports, and assisting in special projects where needed.

The Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II), working as a DevOps engineer, plays a key role in handling complex software systems and projects. This position leads technical projects related to developing and maintaining the Department of FISCal’s Information Technology Division emerging technology solutions and cloud solutions. You’ll work with a team of developers, following the system development life cycle to manage tasks like analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, information technology service management, web services, and day-to-day application maintenance and operations support. The ITS II uses software engineering principles, data and process modeling, web-based technologies, agile development, agile software development methodologies and cloud-based environments. The role involves collaborating with software developers, database and middleware administrators, and project managers to create scalable solutions that meet the department’s information technology goals and standards. You’ll also research and recommend tools, standards, and best practices for new technology to management. While the duties for this position are focused in the software engineering domain, work may be assigned in the other domains, as needed.
