STAFF SERVICES MANAGER II (MANAGERIAL)
The Staff Services Manager II (Managerial) is responsible for managing staff in the Labor and Performance Management Section (LPMS). The incumbent provides guidance and expertise to managers and supervisors in the administration of the Department of FISCal’s personnel management programs including but not limited to performance management, labor relations, position control, workers’ compensation, FMLA, and reasonable accommodations. The incumbent acts as a consultant to managers and supervisors on the most complex personnel management issues; develops, reviews, and research policies and procedures; and provides recommendations to management on how to develop the workforce. Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) works independently as the high-level technical specialist responsible for network administration. The incumbent, as a member of a team or as an individual, leads the network hardware and software evaluation, installation, configuration, testing, documentation, maintenance and operations; provides expertise in network infrastructure and network security systems; demonstrates proficiency in analyzing, testing, documenting, maintaining and supporting enterprise class Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, web filtering appliances, mobile device managers, remote access services, internet, intranet, extranet, telecommunications systems and related devices. Division Chief, Workforce Development Center (C.E.A.)
Under the administrative direction of Business Operation and Solutions Division (BOSD) Deputy Director (CEA B), the Career Executive Assignment (CEA) A, fulfills substantial leadership and policy responsibilities over the Workforce Development Center (WDC) office which provides service support to 140+ departments and over 15,000 end users of the FI$Cal system. The CEA A will develop policies and strategic planning efforts as it relates to training on the budget development and administration, statewide cash management, statewide accounting and claim audit/disbursement, and procurement that is offered statewide to FI$Cal end-users. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I
Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I) in Database Platform Services Section, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) works independently as a technical specialist and is responsible for tasks that involve the PeopleSoft Oracle databases, the Legacy Data Repository and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.  The incumbent is also responsible for following the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) Project Management Standards.
