The Department of Finance will conduct FI$Cal year-end training for FI$Cal departments this month. In accordance with the latest COVID-19 guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, classes will be offered in an online format.

The training is for FI$Cal department staff who are responsible for preparing accrual entries and coordinating year-end activities. Each department is limited to four participants. Session I training will take place every weekday during the second week of June. Please use the registration form on Finance’s website to sign up for a single all-day class.

The Session I class will cover these subjects:

  • Monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Timeline of year-end activities and support
  • Period 12 reminders
  • Year-end accrual entries
  • Period 998 allocation process
  • Year-end PFA reclassification
  • Period 998 reconciliations and reports
  • Importance of year-end deadlines and reports

Before taking this class, all departments are encouraged to complete University of FI$Cal training and review the Finance Year End eLearning Courses.
