The Department of FISCal continually makes updates and enhancements to the system based on feedback from our end users. Our goal is to improve usability while maintaining the highest level of security for the state’s data.
FI$Cal released the following enhancements in November (descriptions include ServiceNow case numbers):

State Treasurer’s Office requests a new PeopleSoft (PS) query (RPTAR095) for the departments using their business unit to obtain their ZBA sweep information.
Enhancement/Solution
Created a new PS query for the departments to obtain their ZBA sweep information.
Accounts Payable
Request: CS0194245
Request to move State Controller’s Office (SCO) reset workflow comment functionality to correct the 254 character limitation on the current comments link.
Enhancement/Solution
Remove current SCO reset workflow functionality from the comments link and move it to the audit communications link on the invoice information tab. This will allow SCO to include separate comments for each workflow reset.

Long-running PS query processes currently require manual intervention to cancel or end the DB SQL Session by a PS/DBA administrator.

Enhancement/Solution
The watchdog process (ZZ_WATCH_DOG) is an existing process scheduled in batch to run every hour to report long-running processes (> 1 hour) in production. This is an internal Information Technology Division maintained tool.
Enhanced this process to cancel any long-running PS queries. The process will cancel any PS queries which are running longer than a specific number of hours given as input via the Run Control Page.
