This role is all about leading communication efforts for the Department of FISCal (FI$Cal). As the Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll oversee a team and manage everything related to strategic messaging and outreach. The Enterprise Security Service Office (ESSO) at the Department of FISCal (Fl$Cal) offers an exciting and impactful opportunity. As the Manager of the Security Operations Section (SOS), you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing the cybersecurity strategy for one of California’s most important IT systems. You’ll lead efforts to monitor, operate, design, implement, and refine technical solutions that protect critical infrastructure, applications, and data. Your expertise will drive the enforcement and development of security policies, risk assessments, and remediation strategies. While the core of your work will be in security operations, building and maintaining secure systems, you may also be tasked with work across a range of cybersecurity areas, including operations, governance, compliance, and risk management.
