Information Technology Associate – Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) with a working level knowledge of one or more business functional areas: general ledger, accounting, budgeting, billing, accounts receivables, accounts payables, purchasing, cash management, labor distribution, treasury and deal management. The ITA will provide Level 2 (L2) functional analysis and working knowledge of data processing concepts, practices and methods to departmental end-users regarding FI$Cal system incidents and change requests in the Business Operation and Solutions Division (BOSD), Enhancements Service Center (ESC). Information Technology Specialist II – Responsible for organizing, planning, and implementing all activities associated with the FI$Cal Database Platform Services Section. The incumbent is responsible for the design, installation and configuration, patching and upgrades, monitoring and optimizing, backup, recovery, performance, maintenance and operations of all system FI$Cal Database Services and all monitoring and development tools that support the FI$Cal system, as well as the technical testing of the FI$Cal system which includes performance testing, disaster recovery testing and accessibility testing. External Training Unit Manager – Accounting Administrator II to work in our Business Operation and Solutions Division. Responsible for developing and implementing training and support strategies, plans and tools to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing use of the FI$Cal system. Also responsible for the statewide training of all state departments and control agencies and will function as a high-level subject matter expert (SME) in departmental training and support. The position will use knowledge of the FI$Cal system and an understanding of the state of California’s accounting processes, and knowledge of adult learning principles to effectively develop learning content, and instructor-led training for FI$Cal end-users. Change and Release Management Section Chief – Information Technology Manager I to work in our IT Division. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing all tasks and functions related to the coordination and management of changes, releases, migrations, updates and upgrades made to the FI$Cal production and non-production environments. Work closely with other FI$Cal managers and partner (i.e. Department of General Services, Department of Finance, State Controller’s Office and State Treasurer’s Office) managers to prioritize change requests, formulate releases, and plan and implement changes to various FI$Cal subsystems such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Business Intelligence subsystems. This includes overseeing and ensuring that successful design, development, testing and approval activities have been performed prior to executing release activities required to move software into the production environment in collaboration with FI$Cal and partner managers.
