The Department of FISCal (FI$Cal) is sharing the significant events that occurred in 2022 through a new report.
The FI$Cal 2022 Year in Review Report was created in lieu of our Annual Report to the Legislature, previously defined under Government Code Section 13300.5. Trailer Bill Language in Assembly Bill 156, signed in September 2022, redefined FI$Cal’s reporting requirements to the legislature, updating our latest reporting deadline to October 31, 2023.
Later this year, through our new annual report, we will provide status updates pursuant to Assembly Bill 156. These updates will include our progress on activities such as onboarding departments that were previously deferred from using the FI$Cal system, system modernization efforts and the transition of the accounting book of record to the FI$Cal system.
