At the Department of FISCal (FI$Cal), our Information Technology Associates (ITA) play a key role in keeping California’s financial systems running smoothly. As an ITA, you’d be part of a team that supports over 150 state departments that rely on the FI$Cal system to manage their finances.
In this role, you’d help troubleshoot and resolve system issues, answer questions from users, and make sure everything is working the way it should. You’d also work closely with different parts of the system, like budgeting, accounting, and project tracking—so a good understanding of how business and technology work together is important.
Most of your work would focus on Business Technology Management, but you might also get the chance to explore other areas of IT depending on the needs of the team.
