ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST

The Associate Accounting Analyst (AAA) serves as part of FI$Cal’s production support team, providing functional assistance to departments using the FI$Cal system. The position coordinates with the State Controller’s Office to ensure timely completion of Month-End and Year-End Close activities.

Key responsibilities include delivering customer support, researching and resolving system issues, and serving as the primary resource to the Accounts Payable modules. The AAA also processes change requests and participates in cross-functional teams and workgroups.This role provides Level 2 functional support, applying knowledge of data processing concepts and practices to assist end-users with system incidents and service requests. Duties include timely communication and resolution of reported issues within the FI$Cal Service Center.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE

As an Information Technology Associate (ITA) in the Desktop Support Unit, you’ll provide hands-on desktop and end-user support, serving as a trusted technical resource for departmental staff, partner agencies, and contractors. You will play an important role in the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Program by tracking and documenting IT assets from start to finish, including desktop and mobile hardware, virtual desktops, printers and multi-function devices, and software applications. You’ll work with widely used technologies such as Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office suites, email and network user accounts, remote access services, and security tools like antivirus and anti-malware software.
