FI$Cal Learning Center Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get access to the FI$Cal Learning Center?

The FI$Cal Learning Center (FLC) is accessible to all current FI$Cal users. Use your FI$Cal login credentials to log into the FLC. If you are a new user, access to the FLC will be available one business day after you are granted access to FI$Cal.

I’m having difficulties logging into the FI$Cal Learning Center; how can I reset my password?

You can use the “Forgot Password” hyperlink on the password entry page. Or you may contact the FI$Cal Service Center at FiscalServiceCenter@fiscal.ca.gov and they can assist.

What if I have multiple FI$Cal logins? Which do I use to access the FI$Cal Learning Center?

If you have different FI$Cal logins for different roles, any of them can be used to log into the FI$Cal Learning Center, but they each have a separate learner history and transcript. We recommend using only your most commonly used login to keep all of your training history in one place.

How can I get one of my employees, who does not yet have access to FI$Cal, access to the FI$Cal Learning
Center?

The departmental authority or designee(s) (DADs) are the only state employees who can authorize access to the FI$Cal system (and the FI$Cal Learning Center) on behalf of their department. For more information about the role of DADs in authorizing access to these systems, see Job Aid FISCal.428 Identity Self Service FAQs.

If you are a DAD of your organization, submit the request on the Access FI$Cal webpage via the identity self-service portal.

If you are not a DAD of your organization, contact that person to facilitate access to both systems.

My department is going to start using FI$Cal soon. How do I access the FI$Cal Learning Center to
prepare?

As part of the department onboarding process, new users will have accounts set up in the FI$Cal Learning Center. Your
department liaison will coordinate access and notify your departmental authority or designee(s) when completed.

Will my FI$Cal or FI$Cal Learning Center passwords ever expire or my accounts be deactivated?

For security reasons, your FI$Cal and FI$Cal Learning Center passwords will expire every 90 days, at which point you will be prompted to change your password.

Which browser does the FI$Cal Learning Center work best in?
