Post and View Vendor Ads


Purpose: Demonstrate how to locate a solicitation event, post a vendor advertisement, and view vendor advertisements in Cal eProcure.

 

Scenario: You are interested in bidding on event 7760-0000001433, but you would like to partner with a sub-contractor to complete the project. Before submitting your bid response, use the Post Vendor Ad feature to alert sub-contractors that you are looking for a partner.

 

Roles: Bidder, eSupplier


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the California State Contracts Register page.

     

    Click the Sell to the State button.

  2. You can navigate directly to any of the events listed in the section by clicking on the Event Name link for the desired event.

  3. To view all other public events that are not listed here, use the Search All Bids button.

  4. Click the Search All Bids button.

  5. The California State Contracts Register page displays.

     

    It is possible to use any combination of fields in the Search Criteria section to refine your search for events.

  6. Since you know the Event ID you are interested in posting an ad for, the Event ID field can be used to help find the event.

  8. Enter the desired information into the Event ID field. 

     

    Enter a valid value e.g. "0000001436".

  10. As you search for events, the Search Results will display any events matching the search criteria you used.

  12. The Event Details page displays for the selected event.

     

    From this page, it is possible to review all details provided by the department about the event.

  13. The Post Vendor Ad button is used to create an advertisement, such as "Prime Seeking Sub" or "Sub Seeking Prime" that other vendors will see when also reviewing this event.

  15. The Post Vendor Ad page is used to capture your contact information and message description that will be viewable by other vendors.

  16. Provide your Name, Email and Phone number so those that view this advertisement may contact you for further information.

    Enter a valid value e.g. "Urban Meyer".

  23. Provide Advertisement Details such as a Title, Date, Type, and Description for your ad.

  27. Next, choose the type of advertisement you are creating.

     

    Options exist for whether you are a Prime-contractor seeking a sub-contractor to assist you, or are a sub-contractor looking to partner with a prime-contractor.

     

    In this scenario, you are seeking a sub-contractor to assist you in performing this service.

  28. Click the Prime Seeking Sub option.

  29. Lastly, provide a brief message description that will help other contractors understand your needs.

    Enter "Looking for sub contractor to assist with the installation".

  35. After posting an advertisement, you can then use the View Vendor Ad button to view any ads you've created, as well as all existing advertisements posted by other vendors.

    - Prime Seeking Sub

    - Sub Seeking Prime

     

    In this scenario, no ads for "Sub Seeking Prime" have been posted yet.
