Purpose: Demonstrate how to locate a solicitation event, post a vendor advertisement, and view vendor advertisements in Cal eProcure.
Scenario: You are interested in bidding on event 7760-0000001433, but you would like to partner with a sub-contractor to complete the project. Before submitting your bid response, use the Post Vendor Ad feature to alert sub-contractors that you are looking for a partner.
Roles: Bidder, eSupplier
Steps:
Begin by navigating to the California State Contracts Register page.
Click the Sell to the State button.
Step 1You can navigate directly to any of the events listed in the section by clicking on the Event Name link for the desired event.
Step 2To view all other public events that are not listed here, use the Search All Bids button.
Step 3Click the Search All Bids button.
Step 4The California State Contracts Register page displays.
It is possible to use any combination of fields in the Search Criteria section to refine your search for events.
Step 5Since you know the Event ID you are interested in posting an ad for, the Event ID field can be used to help find the event.
Step 6Click in the Event ID field.
Step 7Enter the desired information into the Event ID field.
Enter a valid value e.g. "0000001436".
Step 8Click the Search button.
Step 9As you search for events, the Search Results will display any events matching the search criteria you used.

Step 11The Event Details page displays for the selected event.
From this page, it is possible to review all details provided by the department about the event.
Step 12The Post Vendor Ad button is used to create an advertisement, such as "Prime Seeking Sub" or "Sub Seeking Prime" that other vendors will see when also reviewing this event.
Step 13Click the Post Ad button.
Step 14The Post Vendor Ad page is used to capture your contact information and message description that will be viewable by other vendors.
Step 15Provide your Name, Email and Phone number so those that view this advertisement may contact you for further information.
Step 16Click in the Name field.
Step 17Enter the desired information into the Name field.
Enter a valid value e.g. "Urban Meyer".
Step 18Click in the Email Id field.
Step 19Enter the desired information into the Email Id field.
Enter a valid value e.g. "Urban.meyer@acn.com".
Step 20Click in the Phone field.
Step 21Enter the desired information into the Phone field.

Step 22Provide Advertisement Details such as a Title, Date, Type, and Description for your ad.

Step 25The Date field will default to the current date.
Step 26Next, choose the type of advertisement you are creating.
Options exist for whether you are a Prime-contractor seeking a sub-contractor to assist you, or are a sub-contractor looking to partner with a prime-contractor.
In this scenario, you are seeking a sub-contractor to assist you in performing this service.
Step 27Click the Prime Seeking Sub option.
Step 28Lastly, provide a brief message description that will help other contractors understand your needs.
Step 29Click in the Description field.
Step 30Enter the desired information into the Description field.
Enter "Looking for sub contractor to assist with the installation".
Step 31Click the Vertical Scrollbar.
Step 32Click the Save button.
Step 33Click the Back button.
Step 34After posting an advertisement, you can then use the View Vendor Ad button to view any ads you've created, as well as all existing advertisements posted by other vendors.
Step 35Click the View Ads button.
Step 36The View Vendor Ad page displays all advertisements separated by the two different types:
- Prime Seeking Sub
- Sub Seeking Prime
In this scenario, no ads for "Sub Seeking Prime" have been posted yet.
Step 37Currently, only the advertisement you previously created is displayed here because no other vendors have posted ads. As other vendors post their ads, they will be displayed on this page for your review.
Step 38If you would like to update the Response Deadline, click in the Response Deadline field and select the appropriate date.

Step 41Click the Save button.
Step 42When you are finished reviewing the ads, use the Back button to navigate back to the Event Details page.
