Purpose: Demonstrate how to view public solicitation events in Cal eProcure.
Scenario: You wish to use Cal eProcure to view any currently available solicitation events that the public is invited to view.
Roles: Public
Steps:
Upon accessing Cal eProcure, multiple information sections are displayed.
Step 1The Login/Register section takes users to the page to login or register.
Step 2The Sell to the State button will show you the location where you can complete Bidder Registration, and also will guide you to review events currently open for bid.
Step 3The Small Business/Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise button will guide you to the location where you can create your SB/DVBE application, and also provides information about other SB/DVBE certified companies.
Step 4The Get Public Procurement Information button will allow you to search for public purchasing data, view DGS procurement resources, and view other additional resources.
Step 5Click the Sell to the State button.
Step 6The Most Recent Bids section displays any events currently open to the public for review. Events in this section are those that are available for bidding.
Step 7You can navigate directly to any of the events listed in the section by clicking on the Event Name link for the desired event.
Step 8To view all other public events that are not listed here, use the Search All Bids link.
Step 9Click the Search All Bids button.
Step 10The California State Contracts Register page displays.
Here it is possible to use any combination of fields in the Search Events section to refine your search for events.
Step 11As you search for events, the Events grid will display any events matching the search criteria you used.
Step 12Use the Search Events section to locate a desired event. In this scenario, search for any events relating to "Printer Maintenance Service."
Step 13Click in the Event Name field.
Step 14Enter the desired information into the Event Name field.
Enter a valid value e.g. "Tractors and Low Bed Trailor".
Step 15Click the Search button.
Step 16All events matching your search criteria now display.
Step 17Click the Sell: 77601-0000000530 DGS - Statewide Procurement Posted link.
Step 18The Event Details page displays for the selected event.
From this page, it is possible to review all details provided by the department about the event.
Step 19On this page, you can see high level information about the event such as the ID, Format/Type, Round, Version, Start/End Dates, and Description.
Step 20The Event ID field is a unique identifier for this event. It is comprised of a Business Unit ID, and a ten digit Event Number.
For example, 77601 is the Business Unit ID for DGS Statewide Procurement, and 0000000530 is the individual event number for that department.
Step 21Further down the page, you can observe the Description that was defined by the department.
In this scenario, the description informs you that this event would ask the bidder to provide printer, scanner and multifunctional equipment maintenance.
Step 22The page also displays some contact information for the event buyer at the department. You can see the primary Contact's name, email address, and phone number, if it was provided.
Step 23The View Vendor Ads button can be used to view advertisements that other vendors have created specifically for this event.
Types of Vendor Advertisements include "Prime seeking Sub" and "Sub seeking Prime."
Step 24To view more details about the event, such as attachments or comments added by the event buyer, use the View Event Package button.
Step 25Click the View Event Package button.
Step 26The Comments and Attachments page now displays.
From this page bidders can download any attachments the buyer has added to the event and view buyer comments.
Step 27By clicking the View button, the related attachment will be downloaded, allowing you to view the attachment.
Step 28Click the View button for the first attachment.
Step 29Click the Download Attachment button.
Step 30After downloading the attachment, open it using the download bar.
Step 31Click the Cancel button on the download bar at the bottom of the screen.
Step 32When you are finished reviewing any event comments and attachments, Click the Return button.
Step 33When finished reviewing this event, you can use the Return to Event Search button.
Step 34Click the Return to Event Search button.
Step 35The California State Contracts Register page now displays, allowing you to search for other public solicitation events.
